On 8 October 2026 The Institute of Local Government Studies (KWI) at the University of Potsdam and DOMBERT Rechtsanwälte invites you to 7th Early Years Conference in Brandenburg one.

This year’s conference will focus on the current challenges facing childcare in the state of Brandenburg. A key area of focus will be the planned Reorganisation of childcare funding and the question of whether the proposed measures can lead to greater transparency, digitalisation and less bureaucracy.

Furthermore, the discussion centres on the impact of falling child numbers on the take-up rates and funding of childcare centres, as well as the implementation of the legislation that has been in force since 1 August 2026 Entitlement to all-day schooling for primary-age children.

The event is aimed at representatives of childcare centres, local authority and independent organisations, public youth welfare services and local authorities, as well as anyone involved in current developments in childcare legislation.
