Content of the event
Funding is often indispensable for local authorities in North Rhine-Westphalia in order to be able to realise important projects at all - whether as part of the NRW Infrastructure Act, urban development funding or public housing promotion. The programmes are diverse, the requirements are complex and the financial risks in the event of errors in implementation are considerable.
For treasuries, project managers and administrative managers, this means that applying for funding is a challenge - keeping it is the real art. This is because reclaims are often not the result of spectacular mistakes, but of everyday project work: incomplete documentation, uncoordinated project changes or overlooked ancillary provisions.
The seminar takes a practical look at the typical pitfalls in the implementation of funding - from careful analysis of the decision to project implementation and billing - and provides specific recommendations on how local authorities in NRW can manage their funding projects in a legally compliant manner and systematically minimise the risk of clawback.
