Content of the event

Many local authority projects stand or fall on the basis of grant funding. However, risks arise between the time a grant is approved and when the accounts are finalised – often unnoticed, with drastic financial consequences. What is clearly set out in the application tends to slip in the day-to-day running of the project: changes made without consultation, incomplete documentation. In the worst-case scenario, this can turn the grant into a case where funds have to be repaid. Lawyer Anuschka Siegers (DOMBERT Rechtsanwälte) outlines typical scenarios and explains what is essential to ensure that grant funding is retained.
