The pre-moot of the ELSA Germany Administrative Law Moot Court (EDVMC) in the offices of Potsdam was a lively event on 25 October 2024. Once again, DOMBERT Rechtsanwälte, in cooperation with ELSA Deutschland e.V., coached the students for this popular competition. A total of nine teams from various law faculties across Germany took the opportunity to practise their performance once again and get tips from professionals before the best four teams head to the final at the Federal Administrative Court in Leipzig on 13 December 2024. The bench at the fictitious court hearings - consisting of the „chairman“ Ulf Domgörgen, former presiding judge at the Federal Administrative Court and now Of Counsel at the law firm, and the lawyers from the law firm as assessors - were impressed by the students' performances. After an exciting final round, they crowned the team from Regensburg with Elsa Nagl and Malik Fröhler the winner of the day.
The ELSA Germany Administrative Law Moot Court (EDVMC) has been organised by the European Student Association since 2017. The students actively participate in a court hearing as fictitious legal representatives and thus gain an insight into practice. They alternate between the role of the party seeking legal protection and that of the authority.
