The Freedom of Information Act (IFG) grants individual citizens extensive rights to information from public authorities and other state bodies. Due to their public-law status, savings banks also have to deal with the rights to information under the IFG. Rechtsanwalt provides information on the legal basis and practical tips Dr Dominik Lück as a speaker at the Banking Law Conference, which will take place on 27 and 28 March 2025 in Potsdam.

At the conference, experts from academia, the judiciary and practice will address key topics of banking law. For example, Dr Christian Grüneberg, judge at the Federal Court of Justice, will present the latest case law from the Federal Court of Justice on banking law and Prof Dr Petra Buck-Heeb, holder of the Chair of Civil Law and European and International Business Law at the University of Hanover, will talk about automated credit scoring and lending.
