Content of the event

The construction of new schools, daycare centres, sports halls, town halls, fire stations and municipal buildings is still booming. However, many local authorities lack the human resources and capacity to manage these projects alongside their administrative tasks.

The seminar shows what procurement alternatives there are compared to conventional implementation.

What is it about?

Alternative procurement models such as general and total contractor awards, public-private partnerships (PPP), modular construction variants or other types of procurement can be interesting variants compared to conventional in-house realisation in order to realise these public construction projects on time and on budget. However, procurement „from a single source“ poses special requirements in terms of procurement and contract law and negotiations with bidders. Determining requirements, functional service descriptions and ensuring an appropriate price/performance ratio are also important issues.

The seminar will give you an overview of these types of procurement and how to organise such processes. The implementation will be illustrated using a practical example.
