Baden-Württemberg wants to drive forward the digitalisation of public administration. To this end, the state and local authorities have now launched a new E-Government agreement concluded. The aim is to create a nationwide digital administration in which administrative services are available digitally throughout the country. Artificial intelligence is also to be used in the process. This also requires further digitalisation in the municipalities. These will receive financial support from the state.
The new agreement builds on the previously existing agreements from 2019 and 2021 and focuses more on harmonisation and standardisation to ensure smooth communication between the various IT systems at all levels of administration. Isolated digital solutions are to be abolished or avoided.
