The LNG terminal off Rügen can continue to be built. The Federal Administrative Court (BVerwG) declared the urgent applications against the construction project inadmissible (case reference: 7 VR 4.24 of 7 June 2024). The municipality, the youth hostel organisation and the landowner, who had each submitted an application, had not sufficiently explained how their rights would be affected by the planned project. The court was also unable to comprehend the feared safety risks.
