DOMBERT Rechtsanwälte is now a funding partner of GrundGesetzVerstehen e.V. - an association that has been active since 2021 and brings pupils across Germany closer to the Basic Law.

In addition to drafting materials on the Basic Law and creating teaching concepts, GrundGesetzVerstehen e.V. organises and coordinates voluntary classroom visits by lawyers throughout Germany at various types of schools and in all year groups from Year 7 onwards.

Rechtsanwalt Moritz Zimmermann and Attorney Charlotte Blech have been members of GrundGesetzVerstehen e.V. since the beginning of 2023 and the end of 2024. They support the association not only in the organisation, for example in the development of new teaching units, but also as so-called educational coaches directly in the work in schools on site. They teach the Basic Law in schools in North Rhine-Westphalia and Brandenburg and thus actively promote democracy education.

Charlotte Blech comments on the funding partnership that has now been concluded: „The Basic Law is not an abstract text, but the foundation of our coexistence. GrundGesetzVerstehen e.V. makes precisely this tangible for young people. As a coach, I experience how pupils develop a completely new understanding of their rights and obligations by learning about our constitution - that inspires me every time. I am delighted that our law firm is making a contribution to this.“
