Content of the event
Public sector employment law – like the public sector itself – is subject to constant development. The BöR offers introductory and advanced courses on civil service law and other public sector employment law, as well as on the employment law governing public sector employees, delivered by expert speakers. The FORUM on Public Service Law complements this range of seminars, focusing primarily on practical content, to quickly access latest developments to respond. Following a subject-specific presentation, there will be a moderated discussion with the speakers and the Exchange of experiences the participants are the main focus.

Prof. Dr. Klaus Herrmann He advises universities, academic institutions and university lecturers on matters relating to academic law, employment law and civil service law. He has previously addressed the topic of „Joint appointments in the State of Berlin – legal framework and challenges“ in the *Zeitschrift für Wissenschaftsrecht* (Journal of Academic Law).

Dr. Stephan Berndt As a Rechtsanwalt, he is responsible for public service law alongside administrative law, incorporating aspects of commercial and criminal law. As a co-author of the „Handbook – Law Governing Local Elected Officials in North Rhine-Westphalia“, he is also well versed in the law of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
