We help the state and local authorities to remain capable of taking action, even in times of crisis.
Our strength lies in areas where the public sector, infrastructure operators and businesses need to work together.
Many requirements relating to security and resilience are laid down at European, federal or state level. However, they are implemented at local level: in local authorities and public bodies, in public institutions, local authority-owned companies and operators of critical infrastructure (KRITIS) or other systemically important infrastructure. These include, in particular, water, energy, transport, healthcare and IT.
We view security and resilience as a cross-cutting issue within public law: we advise local authorities, municipal utilities, special-purpose associations, public authorities, emergency services and businesses on clarifying regulatory and legal requirements, establishing robust organisational and crisis management structures, and designing sustainable cooperation models.
Where resilience in the face of crises requires investment, we combine our expertise in planning and planning permission law with our knowledge of public procurement, funding and grant law. We support projects from the site selection and planning stages, through authorisation and planning permission procedures, right through to procurement, funding and implementation.
