We support young talents.
Learn about the full spectrum of public law with us.
We make your education one of our top priorities.
Benefit from our programmes for young legal professionals.
We are interested in getting to know young lawyers as early on as possible – as student assistants before or as research assistants after their first state examination. We put great importance into the training during the legal traineeship. Many of our talents worked for us during their legal traineeship.
We offer a comprehensive and varied training programme. This includes, for example, a DOMBERT revision course or various workshops on topics such as rhetoric, correct citation or legal research.
Out of the lecture hall and into practice.
We offer students an inside view into everyday life at a law firm.
The cases in the degree programme are instructive, but sometimes very theoretical.
But a practical case makes studying law even more exciting.
We therefore offer the DOMBERT Practice four weeks to gain an insight into everyday life in a law firm.
Our programme, which has been specially developed for students, includes various lectures and excursions as well as participation in court hearings. The students get to know various practice groups at the firm and thus gain an impression of the diversity of topics in public law and the practical work as a lawyer.
We recommend applying from the 3rd semester onwards. Documents to be submitted include a letter of motivation, CV and current academic achievements.
Application deadlines:
- Dombert practice summer (September): 30 April
- Dombert practice winter (March): 30 November

We support you on your way to the Second State Examination.
The education during the legal traineeship is very important to us, as we see our trainee lawyers as potential colleagues of tomorrow.
We support you in your training for the Second State Examination with our exam prep programme DOMBERT Repetitorium (DomRep). This revision course is led by Ulf Domgörgen, former presiding judge at the Federal Administrative Court and now Of Counsel at our firm. Additionally, several partners teach at universities alongside their legal work and are involved as part-time examiners for the state examination office. That's why we know what you need to accomplish for your exam and we prepare you for it.
Why we decided to join DOMBERT Rechtsanwälte.
`As a young professional at DOMBERT Rechtsanwälte, I was able to work on exciting cases from day one, which challenged me every day. Thanks to the early responsibility entrusted to me, I was able to work on a wide range of case scenarios and subject areas during my first years here. Also, in case of questions, you will always find support from your colleagues, perhaps even during a walk around Lake Jungfernsee.’
‘Many cases touch on several legal topics. That's why we regularly work together across teams. It's a lot of fun and allows us to develop expertise in other areas as well, thereby expanding our own skills.’
„‘After completing my First State Examination, I decided to pursue a doctorate. At the same time, however, I wanted to finally immerse myself in professional legal practice. At DOMBERT Rechtsanwälte, I am able to do just that. As a research assistant, I am directly involved in challenging cases and am trained ‘on the job’ for the legal profession. My interest in public law is matched here by high-quality training, a respectful working environment and a strong team of research assistants and trainee lawyers.’“
This is where your career starts.
